EiG’s alumni include successful companies such as Element Wave, Fresh8 Gaming, Colossus Bets and FSB Tech who have benefited from the exposure to the event’s high-level and decision-making attendees, all potential partners or investors.
EiG Start-Up LaunchPad, organised in partnership with GamCrowd, is the longest running and most established amongst the start-up initiatives run at Clarion’s Gaming events, and since 2009 has been providing start-ups with an economical opportunity to debut their businesses to a very senior iGaming audience.
Each year, five start-ups are selected in a three-month submission process, to present their innovative approaches to the EiG audience, with a panel of investors, that includes well-known names such as Mark Blandford and Evan Hoff, leading a Q&A and providing the final commentary. The winner is selected in a live vote, usually in line with investors’ vote. This year’s LaunchPad will take place on Thursday, 20 October in Berlin, EiG’s host city for the last three years and an important start-up hub in Europe.
Shortlisted start-ups are additionally offered complimentary space on the exhibition floor, within its start-up zone, thus benefiting from tailored marketing and start-up exposure.
‘Over the last couple of years the industry has truly embraced start-ups and recognised their crucial role in the innovation value chain. The LaunchPad has played an important role in highlighting the importance of start-ups and bringing them closer to the industry. I look forward to seeing who will win in 2016 in Berlin’, commented GamCrowd’s Chris North.
Excellence in iGaming (EiG) takes place on 18-20 October 2016 in Arena Berlin. If you’re a Start-up and interested in applying for the LaunchPad, you are invited to visit http://www.eigexpo.com/start-launchpad where you can find out more about the submission process.
